David O’Malley has been responsible for the planning, design, and development of residential, retail and hotel projects in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Colorado, Wyoming, Florida, India and Lebanon.

O'Malley founded O'Malley Partners and Community Research and Development in 1995 as a vehicle to provide a team approach to planning, design and project management  for developers, investors, and governments.

As President and CEO of Welton Becket Associates he developed Colorado Center in Santa Monica.  As Senior Vice President of Howard Hughes Properties/ Summa Corporation. and  Director of California Real Estate he managed  the preparation of the Master Plan, annexation and zoning of Playa Vista.  He has  since been  the Project Manager for a 35 story Wilshire-Hoover residential tower and retail center in Los Angeles and The Edge condominium and retail complex planned for West Hollywood.  His responsibilities encompassed design, project management,  master planning and marketing.

He is the Urban Designer and Project Director of the International City in Ludhiana, India; The Souks of Beirut Lebanon, Mount Royal and Metro Center in Baltimore and several U.S. city urban core areas.

O’Malley is a licensed professional Architect. He has taught at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, is a Harvard Loeb Fellow of Advanced Environmental Studies; lectured at the University of Maryland; and, in California at Art Center College of Design; Pepperdine University and UCLA Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
